WSOP 2020 Rescheduled for Online July 1 to Sept 6 includes $5 Million Main Event

Due to the corona virus, the WSOP has been changed. All of the tournaments will be held online. Vegas is enforcing social distancing with four handed poker tournaments and distance between slots machines among other things to prevent close contact and this is another excellent move. This makes it more appealling in many ways. There should be bigger jackpots with more players since making the trip to Vegas isn’t a necessity now.
The WSOP 2020 rescheduled will start July 1 and run till September 6. There are over 54 events including high roller, and the Main Event. In fact, most of the events like the Colossus, Omaha, etc will all be available online. For Americans, the requirement is that it’s ok to gamble in your state.
It will be amazing and most events will probably go over the gtds since online will allow many more people to participate than ever before. It should be the most successful WSOP financially ever! Buy-ins range from $50 and up to $25,000. Sounds like fun and certainly something to keep your eyes on.

Alex Brito Winner of PokerStars Sunday Million Turns $4 into $1.5 Million

Spurned by unemployment, Alex Brito turns a $4 satellite seat into a $1.5 million payday at 888poker HUD tournament. It’s a payday many around the world can only dream about but it happened to Alex Brito.
Though he’s been playing poker for over 15 years, he’s usually goes for micro stakes tourneys that are $3 or less. His journey to the Sunday Million was no different. He won a .25 cent spin and go and then a $4 satellite, leading to the $11 satellite to the Sunday Million event.
He’s been playing poker for more than 10 years usually playing the micro stakes tourneys. This started out no different. He won a .25 cent spin and go leading to the $4 satellite and then to the $11 satellite with a hundred winners in for the big Sunday million tourney. The rest is history.
He always was fascinated by card games but put it aside due to everyday life. He’s a commercial manager and his wife is a pilates teacher. Six months ago that changed when the couple both lost their jobs.
The Sunday Million 14th anniversary was constantly posted at the PokerStars site and he thought it would be an amazing tournament. But being unemployed he found it prohibitive to say the least. But he saw the satellites and the game began.
He was in a pool of players with thousands, over 90,000 to be more exact. He hung in there day 1, came back for day 2. By the end of day 2, he realized he was in the money for at least $10,000 and coasted the rest of the day after making some mistakes.
One key point for Brito is that he trusted his judgement more and more. He was 33rd with 91 players remaining. As he approached the final table, his goal was to get as many pay jumps as possible to get more money. He reached the final table and took it down.
Action was slow at the final table but in short order, three players busted out. With Brito taking out another player, it brought the remaining players to 4. Brito eventually made it to heads up against player Crazy_stefan. The two were head to head for awhile even exchanging the lead several times till the great all-in by crazy_stefan lead to his loss. Not much of a loss mind you since he still pocketed over a million dollars.
