Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa near Palm Springs, California will host the Heartland Poker Tour for a 10-day series starting on February 27, 2014, with the crowning of a new HPT champion at a nationally-televised Final Table on March 10. After three successful stops in California the poker tour going for more.

The Heartland Poker Tour arrived in California in 2013 for the first time and had two major winners, Kris Tong and Michael Rosenbach each won $165,000 and $180,000 respectively . And many other players won lesser amounts. Over $2,000,000 was won in California.

Heartland Poker Tour Results from Daytona Kennel Club and Poker Room

The Daytona Beach Kennel Club and Poker Room was the setting for the latest in the Heartland Poker Tournaments. The winner was Cong Pham, who battled it out with James Calderaro. After 46 hands, Cong Pham won taking the title and $104,033.

Pocket pairs ruled in the end with Calderaro holding a pair of eights while Pham held a pair of aces. This was another win for Calderaro netting him $ 64,158 boosting his career poker earnings to nearly $2,000,000.

John Holley, who finished 3rd in the Seniors WSOP was eliminated to fifth place. He played against Calderaro and took home over $23,000. Luis Serra went all-in in the early position and was called by Pham. He took over $30,000 finishing in fourth place. It was a huge success since he only invested $360 in the tournament.

Justin Fawbush , whose shove or fold strategy works well, finished in sixth place with nearly $20,000.

Keith Romanovitz of Massachusetts finished in seventh place. He had two jacks and went all-in against Fawbush’s early position raise. It looked like he would win but Fawbush got a king to make a straight. He took home over $16,000.

The remaining winners include : Peter Walsworth , who won over $11,000 and Talel Patel who won over $13,000.

The next stop for the Heartland Poker Tour is – Iowa – Prairie Meadows Racetrack Casino Hotel 10-12-2012 – 10-21-2012.
